My name is Arai Tomohiro, and I am an amateur researcher into ancient Japanese history.

My area of research is the Asuka period, especially focused on the Suiko period.

I have conducted a study on the places in his writings that Shōtoku Taishi uses the character 少 where 小 would be correct. I noticed this writing habit unique to Shōtoku Taishi, and believe I have used it to prove that the Sangyō gisho (三経義疏, Annotated Commentaries on Three Sūtras), Jūshichijō kenpō (十七条憲法, Seventeen-Article Constitution), and Kan’i jūnikai (冠位十二階, Twelve Level Cap and Rank System) were written by Shōtoku Taishi, and offer my research paper here.

The study of ancient Japanese history is enjoyable.

I wish to exchange opinions with many persons, and make note of them in my blog, and elsewhere.

Please enjoy the wonder of ancient Japanese history.
